You could have intake leak.also intake leak at injector o rings or seals leak.when replacing intake gasket you have to tighten in sequence.if not intake gasket will leak again.

Changing the intake gasket shouldn't change the timing, recheck the wiring, check for spark, does the fuel pump word, what is the fuel pressure, are you getting injector signal, check the oil etc

I HAVE ANTIFREEZE LEAKING OUT OF MY INTAKE MANIFOLD ON MY 1987 GMC JIMMY

I had this happen to me the first time I replaced my intake manifold gaskets. It was hard to install the intake and gasket moved just enough and I had a coolant leak. Removed manifold and installed new gaskets and problem was solved. Good Luck.

I have a 99 Jimmy with 4.3 engine. I have bad missing in the engine. I have replaced all wires, plugs, cap and rotor. This unit is still missing and setting a general misfire code. I have no vacuum leaks...

I found the problem and 99 jimmy is running great now. the major problem was the intake manifold gaskets sucking air and causing random misfire codes(bad fuel/air ratio) but also we pulled the distributor as well because from 87-99 the drive gear was made of soft material and sure enough 3 teeth on the dist gear were almost worn right off. We also replaced this with 120$ new rebuilt unit.
Intake gasket kit is approx 100$ and no more than 2 hrs labour and the distributer is real easy to pull and replace once the intakes are off so this is a good time to check dist with little extra labour.

1996 gmc jimmy wont start seems like advanced timing issue backfiring out throttlebody, replaced timing pick up, distribitor cap, crank sensor, ICM, when ignition conrol module replace the engine ran fine...

You said the problem happened right after the engine was replaced correct? If so bring number cylinder to top dead center on the compression stroke. Remove the distributor cap and see if the rotor is lined up with the number one spark plug wire. It's possible the distributor was installed 180 degrees out.

1999 GMC Jimmy Running Hot w/ Engine coolant reservoir empty

I guess the burning question is , where is the coolant going.
Is this a 4.3 engine? How many miles does the vehicle have?
Has the intake gasket been changed?
I'm guessing a can of "Bars Leak" may cure your problem.
Let me know.
