Usually if the fuse is gone too much amps had been sucked by the pump itself .The fuse shall be inside your fuse compartment where the other fuses are .
Buy a cheap ohmmeter and check all the fuses for continuity .Set the dial of the meter to ohms.Take all the fuses and put the leads so they connect one to one side of the fuse and another lead to the other side of the fuse .
If the reading is towards 0 the fuse is good . If other reading or 1 or infinity the fuse is blown . Replacing the fuse is easy as in the automotive store they sell them by models sometimes they sell them in a bunch. If the fuse keeps being blown after replacing it then the fuel pump may be your problem or you may have a short circuit in the cables going to the pump ..
the pump may need to be changed .
The pump is inside the fuel tank .
You may need to replace it more likely. You need to drop the tank -carefully it is heavy and open the top cover which screws on and your pump shall be right there unscrew it undo the electrical connections and you got it .to replace do the reverse operation .

DASH LIGHTS DO NOT WORK AND THE DOME LIGHT STAYS ON

Do you have an owners manual? I had a similar problem with a Ford, turned out that the dome stayed on until the bad fuse was replaced. Sort of a "safety" feature you know that you have fuse blown in some other area. Owners manual should show location of fuse.

Hope this helps

1999 ford explorer just died not getting gas is it possible to hear the fuel pump run? I cant hear the one on my ranger and it works fine. Could it possibly be the fuel filter? or is it most likely the...

How many miles do you have on it? The fuel pump is in the gas tank, I have a 97 explorer and around 75k miles the fuel pump went out. After talking with other Ford truck owners this was pretty common. Its not a cheap repair unless you are willing to drop the tank yourself.

1999 Ford f150 V8 4.6 Fuel pump does not run up. Where is the relay and or fuse? How do I check the pump?

Did you check the fuel inertia switch ?

From the owners manual pg 155 :
Engine compartment :
Fuse # 10 - Fuel Pump
Fuse # 18 - Fuel injectors

pg 156
Fuel pump relay relay #302
You can swap the fuel pump relay with one of the trailer tow adapter relays to test with.

You can always jumper the normally open contacts in the relay socket ( shown as the red line below ) :

2000 ford explorer wiper fluid pump does not work,

the fuse is located in the inside fuse panel position 12. it is a 7.5 amp fuse and is brown in color. if you cant find the position #12 then check all 7.5 fuses.if no fuse is blown then open the hood and get someone toactivate the washer pump while you lisen for it to run.the pump is located in the bottom of the washer fluid resavor and is usually replaced with the resavor as a assembley.if no blown fuse and u cant hear the pump running then you will need a new pump.if u hear pump running but no fluid is coming out look for a leak in the lines.
