I need to remove the inside door panel on my Hyundai accent 03 in order to replace the exterior door handle. What's holding me up is the inside door/lock handle. Although I've removed the single screw in the middle of the plastic cover I still cannot remove the it in order to get the panel off. It seems that the whole lock/opening mechanism is holding the cover to the panel.
Note: I did remove the two screws from the door handle and around the bottom of the panel as well as the rubber seal on the top of the panel. The whole panel is loose except around the interior door/lock opener.
I have a hyundai accent 2001 and i need to find fm stations manually.
The control panels are often held in place by either spring tensioners or some built into the plastic frame of the panel and can be pried up and out.
They pretty much depend on gravity to keep it in place.
Once free of the panel, turning it may allow it to be passed through the hole in which it normally resides.
I would try first to pry with an old credit or bank card before resorting to metal tools.

Thank you for your reply. Actually I found that the interior lock/handle which I was having a hard time loosening from the panel needs to be slid forward (toward the steering wheel) in order to come loose. That was the last thing holding the panel on. I did note the plastic hooks that clamp to the top of the door so that the panel needs to be slid upward to come off.
Now that I know I can get behind the panel I'm waiting for the replacement handle to come before moving forward. Thanks again for the help
