The IAT sensor is part of the Mass Airflow sensor. here is a picture of that sensor.

The iat sensor is part of the mass air flow sensor, its build inside maf sensor.you will have to replace mass air flow sensor to replace intake air temp sensor, make sure connection at maf sensor is good if so replace maf sensor, good luck.

2005 Chevy Cavalier. Where is the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor located please?

Edited to tidy up the English, and the code is P-Zero, not P-Oh.

If your PCM is returning a P0113 error code, it means that your Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is reading at too high of a voltage. This sensor works as a basic resistor. The PCM sends it a continuous current of five volts, and monitors how much voltage it gets back.

Code P0113-P0183

DTC P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input. The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine. The PCM supplies a 5 volt reference voltage to the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. The IAT is a thermistor that varies resistance based on temperature. As the temperature increases, resistance decreases. Low temperature results in a high signal voltage. When the PCM sees a signal voltage higher than 5 volts, it sets this P0113 check engine light code.

DTC P0183 - Fuel Temperature Sensor Circuit High Voltage.

I suggest to check wire connections.

I have 3 codes po431 po103 and po113

P0103 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit High Input P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input P0431 Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2) A code P0431 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • The catalytic converter is no longer functioning properly
  • An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly
  • There is an exhaust leak
A code P0113 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Internally failed IAT sensor
  • Faulty connection at IAT sensor
  • Open in IAT ground circuit or signal circuit
  • Short to voltage in IAT signal circuit or reference circuit
  • IAT harness and/or wiring routed too close to high-voltage wiring (e.g. alternator, spark plugmag-glass_10x10.gif cables, etc.)
  • Faulty PCM (less likely but not impossible)
A code P0103 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad
  • The MAF sensor may be damaged
  • The vehicle computer may be faulty (very rare)

p0106 is barometric sensor code and is caused by a faulty egr boost sensor, egr boost sensor solinoid, or faulty vaccume line to either devise and last a bad pcm. check vaccume lines first then components, also there is a small filter on egr vac sol make sure its clean

Changed maf sensor because of p0113 code stillhave problem after i changed sensor battery light came on fixed bad belt could belt have caused the pcm to not read the 5v it needed to wor k the iat sensor?

P0113 is air temp circuit high. The maf sensor (mass air flow) sensor just measures the amount of air entering the engine. The iat (intake air temp) sensor is the one that detects the temperature of the air.
Change that sensor, and the code should disappear. It is located in the intake manifold or air plenum.
