Codes are: P0700 P0706 P0755 in limp mode, OD pressure switch is closed, C3 volts 0 , low reverse pressure switch is closed. My car runs great but will not shift gears. It will go into reverse and drive just fine though. We had just replaced the heater core the day before this problem happened.

Moisture has gotten into some electrical connectors when the heater core was replaced. These electronic transmissions have speed sensors and electrical connectors that do not like moisture in them. disconnect any connectors that may have gotten wet. Blow them out with compressed air. Good luck.

Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.

clearing codes wont correct the problem and limp mode is designed to protect motor and transmission - p0700 is a transmission problem
P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction p0340 is camshaft position sensor malfunction
https://www.obd-codes.com/p0340 p0344 is also a camshaft position sensor circuit problem
P0344 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent your p430 is a cat converter problem
https://www.obd-codes.com/p0430 and p0888 is transmission relay problem these reasons are limp mode the knock can be fuel not burning correctly or a lower engine knock can mean you damaged a piston

I have a 99 navigator 5.4 dohc I just put a trans in it all was well till last night noe I get the od blink and limp mode codes are p0743 tcc circuit electrical p0755 shift solenoid 2 electrical fa

Generally if the shift solenoid fails and throws the TCM into limp mode it needs to be replaced, but I would check the electrical connections first since you just changed the tranny, maybe you pulled one a little too hard or didn't get it "click locked" in.

04 Chrysler 300m goes into limp mode only when the A/C is on? i get P0700 and P1776 codes

P0700 is a general fault code for the transmission. P1776 is a fault code for the low/reverse solenoid inside the transmission. Since your problem is only present while the A/C is on, it is most likely electrical. Check your battery charge and your alternator performance FIRST, as either of these can cause this problem. Check the wiring to the solenoid, which is located at the front of the transmission. Finally, change the transmission control relay located inside the power distribution box ("fuse box") under the hood.

I bought a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse and the check engine light came on we hooked up the machine to diagnos it and we got 2 codes po700 and p1784 . we are wondering what the codes mean and how to fix the...

DTC 1784: LOW-REVERSE PRESSURE SWITCH
1.Remove transaxle relay from connector. Turn ignition on. Install scan tool and observe low-reverse pressure switch condition. Apply battery voltage to transaxle relay connector terminal No. 8. If low-reverse pressure switch stays off, go to next step. If low-reverse pressure switch turns on, go to step 4 .

2.Raise vehicle enough to allow drive wheels to spin freely. Test low-reverse clutch hydraulic pressure. See HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TESTS under TESTING. If low-reverse clutch pressure test is not within specification, internal transaxle failure exists. If low-reverse clutch pressure test is within specification, observe scan tool.

3.If low-reverse pressure switch turns on, trouble code is intermittent. Check wire harnesses and connectors for damage or poor connection. If low-reverse pressure switch does not turn on, replace solenoid and pressure switch assembly. Recheck trouble codes. If trouble code resets, replace TCM.

4.Check and repair wiring harness between transaxle relay connector and solenoid and pressure switch assembly connector. If wiring harness is okay, check wire between TCM connector terminal No. 10 and solenoid and pressure switch assembly.

5.If wire between TCM connector terminal No. 10 and solenoid and pressure switch assembly is okay, check TCM and solenoid and pressure switch assembly connectors. Repair connectors as necessary. If connectors are okay, recheck trouble codes. If trouble code resets, replace solenoid and pressure switch assembly. Recheck trouble codes. If trouble code resets, replace TCM.

P0700-The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transmission control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transmission controls.

I would try disconnecting he battery and letting it sit for 5 minutes, then hook it back up to see if they return-the 700 code is probably related to the 1784 code, that seems to be your main issue.

What does these codes mean P1781, P0731, P1784 AND P0700 AND HOW DO I FIX THEM.

p1781 is manufacturer control transmission, p0731 is gear 1 ratio incorrect, p1784 is manufacturer control transmission, p0700 is trans, control system malfunction. all of these codes refer to tranny. This code normally points to a faulty transmission control module, but this is an expensive part and you should have an experienced Dodge technician diagnose the problem first. or a transmission specialist. the other codes are probably associated with the p0700 code. have a good day !

Is it worth fixing a 2000 chevy silverado that has 200,000 miles - It seems to have a transmission problem

If the engine and body is good, yes and depends on your transmission issues.
Before guessing at transmission problems, check the fluid level (car warmed up, engine running in Park on level ground) and have the PCM scanned for trouble codes FIRST. This guide is meant for problems that do not show up as PCM codes (like shift A&B solenoid failures, for example).
he transmission is on the same fuse as the MAF, O2 sensors and at least one other sensor - if an O2 shorts out, it will blow the fuse and the trans will go into limp-home mode. Be sure the trans has power and the fuse is not blown before doing anything else.
Note that many problems that show up as transmission issues are actually PCM or electrical, and may be external to the transmission. Try a different PCM, and check for chafing where the cables come out of the PCM
Put a line pressure gauge ($55 shipped on Ebay, or visit a local trans shop) on the pressure test port and go for a drive to verify proper line pressure. Base pressure at idle in P,N,OD should be around 70psi and around 140psi in R. Max line pressure should be at least 190psi at WOT in 1st or 2nd, 225psi is optimum. If base pressure is low, trans or pump is worn out. If max pressure is low, check EPC solenoid. If reverse is slow to engage, and line pressure does not come up to at least 130psi in reverse, replace the boost valve with a Transgo 0.500" boost valve (easy fix in pan)
What is "limp-home mode" ? This is a fault mode in which the transmission either loses electrical power or the PCM deactivates all of the electronics. The transmission will default to max line pressure. The driver will have Reverse and 3rd, with manual 2nd available by putting the gearshift in 2 or 1 (doesn't matter). 1st, 4th, and TCC lockup will not be available. It will not hurt the car to drive it like this for short periods, but use manual 2nd to get the car moving, and be aware that the trans will generate more heat than normal while operating in limp-home mode due to increased torque converter slippage during 2nd gear starts and no lockup in 3rd gear.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

P0700, P0750 and P0755 codes I was driving at 65 mph and the 2003 Dodge Caravan down shifter to low gear and the check engine light came on. It will not ship to high gear.

Check Transmission DTC's
This code indicates that the EATX (Transmission controller) has an active fault and has illuminated the MIL via a BUS message. The specific fault must be acquired from the EATX via a DRBIII tool. (Input or Output Speed Sensor failures often cause this code and are a common failure part on WJ Grand Cherokees

Shift Solenoid circuit.
Note: If code P1767 (Transmission Relay Always On) is also present: Replace transmission solenoid assembly. See note provided. When transmission is in limp mode the relay that provides power to the solenoid group is switched off. This is normal and is designed to provide operation in one gear only. Engineering department suggests to replace transmission solenoid assembly anytime these two trouble codes occur together. See applicable service manual section (21) for solenoid assembly replacement directions. IMPORTANT: When performing this repair always check torque on all valvebody accumulator cover plate screws. Proper torque specification is 70 inch pounds. If any accumulator cover plate screws are damaged or missing replace the valvebody assembly. NOTE: If any other trouble codes are present do not replace solenoid assembly. See test in the applicable Transmission Diagnostic Procedures Manual
