The best way of checking the fuses is look at the diagram on the fuse panel door see what runs on that fuse for the cruise and charger then run that item i.e cruise and heater may run on the same circuit so in that case the cruise don't work then try the heater if it works then its not the fuse if it don't then its pry the fuse or you can get a cheap 12 volt test light and test to see if you are getting power to the accesory if not then then there is another problem.

check cruise control fuse and check the brake lights see if brake light working because the brake light switch will deactivate cruise control when brakes is applied.if brake lights dont work either fuse blowed or switch bad.if all is good have vechicle code scan because cruise control control by PCM and vechicle speed sensor and thottle actuator control motor.

Cruise control is out on my 09 silverado. small v-6. fuse is good. had throttle body replaced 3 months ago. 126k miles, i drive a lot. tried the top off the master cylinder trick. still won't work....

you could have a problem with the brake switch which de-activates the cruise when you push on the brake or a bad cruise switch or control module.have the cruise system checked out to find what is causing the problem first then go from there.
