Sound when car sitting / ABS and Brake lights

My 2000 Yukon XL sometimes makes a sound that I have always thought was the auto leveling system / autoride. I think it is usually or only when stopped.
HOWEVER, my brake light and ABS light come on when going down the road. The lights are then off next time I start it and may or may not come on during the next drive. I have read that the ABS module can make noise when not working properly.
So, can anyone diagonse this sound that they can not hear!?
How can I fix these lights?

Sorry, I aimed my response at those who may have similar problems looking for a solution. I realize that this thread is several years old , and obviously, haltman has long since resolved his issue.

The ABS module when active makes noise when it is trying to control the vehicle by applying "leave" and "press" mechanism. If the lights are coming on , it is possible that the ABS needs to be fixed. Take it to the authorized service centre to electornically diagnose and reset the codes.

The ABS module box is under the vehicle on the driver side about the driver seat. A dealership will tell you this is a 950 dollar part. I found places online that would rebuild mine for 125 dollars. I took that route and it has lasted 6 years so far in my 2002 yukon. My brother has a Tahoe and his went out the very same week, coincidentally. I had mine rebuilt and he bought a new one for a grand. His went out again 9 months later... I'm just saying, you might want to save some money like I did, with even better results.

I have a 2003 yukon xl that has the ABS light on and the brake light also on, also on the message box were the mileage appears it says service brake system

check brake fluid level first- if low add , second - look at wheels - if a lot of black/brown buildup on wheel- wheel cylinder could be leaking- warning lights tend to come on for a fluid problem

C0550 is the code for the ABS module. It is on the frame under the vehicle around the drivers door area. It is a module with all the brake lines coming from it. Reset the trouble codes and see if the problem returns. If it does, the module is not serviceable and will need to be replaced.

After hitting a bump or pothole, my vehicle automatically locks/unlocks all the doors, the ABS light comes on and the service brake system message appears, along with a ding sound, what could cause this?

Hello. you have either a poor solder joint or a loose connection within the systems effected. The best route to go is this. look in the yellow pages under auto electric repair shops. have them put your yukon on their diagnostic equipment to pin point the problem. J.

2003 yukon xl flashing asb and brake light while flashing service brake system. it does it like 6x a month

There is a possibility a ABS sensor is going bad. It's best to have a repair shop hook up a scan tool to the vehicle find the real problem. The ABS system has more than one sensor to cause this problem. So, a Automotive Scan tool is required to find out which is the faulty sensor.

EBCM

No, absolutely not, although the EBCM might possibly be the problem, it is a costly item and 95% of the time is replaced for nothing. Make sure to get the system diagnosed properly, if he can't get a reading from the diagnostic machine, check the abs (EBS) fuse(s), it (they) might be burnt. Then check for fluid level and fluid leaks in the brake system. If these are OK, get the wiring checked to the EBCM for powers, grounds, and data (diagnostics).
