It worked fine before? It's possible you didn't get the filter installed properly, is the sealing ring in place? Or, you could have jarred some crud loose when changed the filter. Do you have any idea how much fluid you got out of the trans, I usually measure the waste oil so I know about how much to put back in. Try shifting it manually through the gears a couple times sometimes that helps. If the fluid is not running on ground, the only other place it can go, is in the radiator. Good Luck!

92 geo metro with automatic transmission will not go out of 1st gear sometimes

my guess is its not electric shifted, (what trans model is it)
so step 2 in the FSM book says.... and i paraphrase
step1 is stall test (my guess passes in 1st and reverse)
step 2, line pressure test?
if that fails, tranny is bad.

2003 trailblazer does not shift into 4th gear , 1st ,2nd,3rd and reverse are fine. performed trans service and replaced filter on a 130k mile trans any help please is it a shift solenoid or is trans on its...

I don't think that you can trouble shoot your solenoid without a scanner. AAmco advertises on TV that they will check it for free. When you performed the service was the oil dark or smell kind of burnt? Was there excessive sediment or chunks in the bottom of the pan? If so you may have bigger problems other than a solenoid.

Hard shifting from 1st to 2nd

I have been hearing a possible solution for this problem is changing the oil filter in the trans oil pan. But ive been looking all over for a solutionand thats the only legit one ive found. It said when the oil gets clogged it doesnt flow to the transmission as nicely as normal therefore leading to lagging changes

1993 4l60e - Shifts hard on the 1-2 shift, works fine otherwise.

Did you change the transmission filter and gasket as well as the transmission oil before running your truck.

2003 chevy venture transmission slow to shift from 1st to 2nd and then from 2nd to 3rd.

Probably due for a trans service--which is flushing the trans and replacing the trans fluid and filter.

Inconsistant transmission problems on 2003 jeep gcl

Many times this is caused by either a sticking electronic shift solenoid in the transmission or the trans fluid and filter need to be replaced, has the trans been serviced, it should have been done at 60,000 miles.
