What is a Wrench light indicator in my 2008 honda Civic

The wrench light indicator is a reminder that you are do for your next service(For example:oil change, air filter change, trans fluid change and so on) base on the miles on your car. A lot of people just get a oil change and have the light reset. If you read your car manual book it will tell you what service you need to do. Note: light come on every 3,000 miles and you can reset any time you want.
How to reset light:
1.with headlight off, turn the key on. Do not start the car.
2. On the left side of th dash below the heat vent there is a button that says "sel reset". push that button until you see "oil life" and a percent on the gauge display screen.
3.Now while on the oil life display, push and hold the "sel reset" button until screen start to flash. you might have to hold for 45sec.
4.when the screen start flashing, release button and hold it down again. might have to hold for about 45sec.

if you did it right the percent should go up to 100% and the wrench light should go out.

I have a 2009 Ford Escape XLT. I had an oil change at 1500 miles and have since driven 275 miles since the oil change. I have an oil change advisory allumination notification on the dash now. How do I...

This is how it works on my 2010 Escape. There are 3 buttons to the lower left of your steering column (Info, Setup, and Reset):
1) when it's displaying the "oil change required" message, hit the "reset" button to get rid of the message2) then hit the "Setup" button twice and you'll see the "oil life" screen, which is now at "0%". It tells you what to do next (i.e. "hold reset" until it says 100%).

With the "CHANGE OIL SOON" message displayed, press any of the three DIC buttons to clear the "CHANGE OIL SOON" message. Display "OIL LIFE RESET" on the DIC. Press and hold the "ENTER" button for at least one second. An "ACKNOWLEDGED" display message will appear for three seconds or until the next button is pressed. This will tell you the system has been reset. Turn the ignition to "OFF". If the "CHANGE OIL SOON" message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure. on the 3.5 liter you have a dipstick near fire wall

Oil Change Reset
A press of the OIL CHANGE RESET switch will allow you to
reset the oil life feature to 100% (or your Personalized Oil Reset
Percentage). After you have the oil changed, you must execute
the following procedure. Press the OIL CHANGE RESET switch
and hold for five seconds as the M/C counts down for five
seconds. After a successful reset the Message Center will display
“OIL LIFE RESET TO 100%.” If you have established a
Personalized Oil Reset Percentage, the display will show that
percentage instead of 100%. To ensure accurate oil life
indicators, perform this reset procedure only after an oil change.
Your Personalized Oil Reset Percentage allows you to establish a
smaller oil change interval than the manufacturer’s
recommended interval. To establish your Personalized Oil Reset
Percentage perform the following procedure:
1. Press and hold the OIL CHANGE RESET switch and press
the RESET switch while the display is still counting down
the 5 seconds to reset. The display will change to “START
OIL LIFE AT XXX%.”
2. Press the OIL CHANGE RESET switch until the displayed
percentage is the Personalized Oil Reset Percentage that you
desire. Your choices are 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%,
40% and 30%.
