Number 1 spark plug
I am trying to find out what the spark plug order is in. we found out what the firing order is but need to know if spark plug wires are afixed to the right spots.
The cylinder order is 1,2,3 (rear row, left-to-right) and then 4,5,6 (front row, left-to-right).
When replacing spark plug wires or plugs, it's very helpful to do one at a time to avoid connecting them incorrectly.
Hope this helps,
Sherwin

If the van was running before you changed the wires, I don't see how it is not firing the plugs now unless you got the wrong wires and they are not making contact with the coil towers and the plugs. If there is no spark on any of the wires, something happened to the coil pack or the crank/cam sensors. Or a fuse or relay for the coil pack. I would probably try an old plug wire to make sure, then check the coil for voltage.
I'd check #1 spark plug.
Usually a misfire code "fix" is a spark plug, spark plug wire, or a coil pack / distributor.
Keeping it simple...I'd go with the spark plug first and then look at the condition of the wires.
Hello vtarin1: My name is Roger and I will help you. The fire order on the motor is 1-4-2-5-3-6. I will send a picture also. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rat the answer you received. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
If it's the four cyl., the first coil pack bolts over the #2 spark plug. The #2 coil pack wire plugs into #3 spark plug. The number two coil pack bolts directly over the number four spark plug, and the #2 coil pack wire plugs into the #4 plug. The firing order is 1-4-2-3.
The firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6. The cylinders are, front bank is from drivers side to passenger, 6-5-4 , and 3-2-1 at the firewall. This is for a 2004 Mazda MPV.
