Simple: First thing is get a test light, hook the test light up to the negetive side of the battery. take your test light and touch it to the positive side of the coil ( should have a + sighn on it ) have someone turn the key on and look for the light to come on. if it dosen't then check for blown fuses or brokenwires to positive side of coil. If light does come on move to next step..
now hook your test light to positive side of battery, touch your test light to the negetive side of the coil ( it should have a - sighn on it, then have an assistant spin the engine over if the light blinks rapidly and still no spark from coil then the coil is bad. if there is no blinking light then the ignition module or points are whatever controls your trigger to the coil is bad.
