Possible stuck pressure relief in the pump or a defective sending unit. Try putting a container of Marvel oil in there and see if it helps. Also putting a mechanical pressure gauge on it temporarily will give you an idea if the pressure really is that high. if pressure remains that high it can cause the filter to fail and leak. Therefore if you can't find an external cause, then the pump will need to be replaced or you can loose the engine if filter fails.

Why is my oil pressure running high after my jeep overheated?

One possibility is that water has mixed with the oil forming a thick chocolate milk like mix that when pumped through the system increases the pressure

Oil pressure gauge not reading on my 1994 jeep wrangler. oil is full just the guage has no pressure and not alot of power

The oil pressure specification for your engine is 13 PSI at idle hot, 37 to 75 PSI at engine RPM higher than 1600. I suspect your oil pressure gauge sender unit or gauge is inaccurate. I would have a known accurate mechanical oil pressure gauge temporarily screwed into the present oil sender unit to verify actual pressure.

If you have the correct pressure I would replace the sending unit first.

I have oil pressure until i stop , then it drops to below 10 psi

Increase the viscocity of your oil. If you're using 10W30, go to 10W40. If you're using 10W40 switch to 20W50. Don't use single weight oil.

Changed my plugs jeep wrangler 4.0 now my oil pressure reads maxed out at 80 psi. all the time while engine is running.

Sounds like a bad oil sending unit...or maybre you knocked the wire off, or it's grounded when changing the plugs.

Oil pressure shows low (nearly zero) when idling after running for awhile, returns to normal when accelerating

just regular wear...try to use thicker oil like a 10w-30 if ur using a 5w...otherwise its just normal wear keep an eye on level of oil too might be leakin anti freeze into it worst case scenario

Oil gauge goes up and down.

If grounding the dash does not work, try putting a mechanical gauge on it and reading actual oil pressure. Pressure does change while driving, but should not wander. With mechanical gauge, check that running hot at idle (in gear if automatic) pressure should not drop lower than 15psi (I'd rather see 20) High reading should be around 40 -50 but no higher.Low pressure indicates a loss of supply or bad bearing on the crankshaft, high pressure may be caused by sticking pressure relief or restriction in an oil passage.

Oil pressure gauage reading high

depending on the weather, and how cold it is, oil pressure will run high until it warms up. now if it still runs high after it warms up then its most likely the oil sending unit.

Low oil psi after driving 25 miles

Have a shop verify the pressure is really low, it could just be the sending unit is defective for the oil press guage, but get it checked, if it really low you could burn out the bearing in your engine, a very costly repair.
