Is the blend door linkage reachable from under the pass. side dash? with out takeing out the whole dash?

A/C needs to have some pressure in the system to energize the clutch. If you have no voltage on the green wire, there is probably not enough freon in the system. There is a low pressure switch on the accumulator.

If the system is charged and the compressor is operating, you should be getting A/C. The problem would most likely be a jammed or malfunctioning blend door under the dash. This can keep the airflow from passing through the evaporator and can even cause it to expel heat from the heater core instead. It is not easy to troubleshoot and repair these problems as there is limited space to work under the dash. The problem can be vacuum related as most blend doors operate on what is called vacuum motors. There is also a linkage attaching the vacuum motor to the blend door than can be broken or damaged. The door itself could be jammed or broken inside the housing. Good luck.

remove the glove box and its lining and and the under dash covering on pass side to expose the actuator for the blend door

Either stuck blend door or a bad blend door actuator motor. It's located under the dash. Remove the actuator and move the door by hand to see if it's binding. If it's free, then the problem is with the actuator or linkage.

theres a white box under your dash on top of the black box u might have to take a plastic piece off to access it on the pass side its the blend actuator door

If you are getting heat only on the pass. side then I believe the blend door has failed. Dodge has a fix and the job is not easy as almost the whole dash needs to come out in order to get to the heater box and the door. I have read that a simple flush of the heater core will cure it, But that diidn't work for me. I think because dual climate control was an option the door is set up to control the two sides of the cab. When it fails only the pass. side gets heat.

Unfortunatly you do have to remove the dash to access any of the blend door or fresh air door actuators
here is a step by step proceedure this takes aprox 5 hrs in a shop so plan on a weekend at home good luck

FLOOR - DEFROST DOOR ACTUATOR

REMOVAL

WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE BATTERY NEGATIVE (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle.

Remove the electrical connector from the actuator.
Remove the mounting screws from the actuator.
Remove the actuator from the HVAC housing.

INSTALLATION
Install the floor-defrost door actuator to the HVAC assembly.
Install the mounting screws and tighten to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) .
Install the actuator electrical connector.
Install the instrument panel assembly into the vehicle.
Connect the battery negative cable.

I suggest check (or replace if is necessary), the blend door it is a huge project you have to remove the dash board. There is a repair kit available either way it is a 8 hr shop time project.

under the hood there some bolts and inside under the unit there is some bolts you will need to take the a/c lines and heater hoses loose drain coolant first or you will get it all inside your truck then take it out and the are some clips and screws i bet the blend door that is broken is the one that is actually two blend doors that are connected.

The most likely cause of your problem is the blend doors under your dash. If they are not moving like they should it can cause this type of problem. You can look under the dash to see if there are any linkages that are disconnected. Some of these are very hard to change so you might want to take it to a repair shop unless you are very good with cars.

sounds like a recirculator door is stuck closed letting it by pass the heater core instead of the evaporator. sometimes there is access under the dash to the door motor which most likely is the problem or the linkage is broke. if no acces the whole dash comes out to get to the evaporator case to repair. have fun
