For the most part if you look at the upper hose the thermostat is behind that close to the engine give these websites a try www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com if all fails you can stop by your local Ford dealership in the parts department and they will print you off the pictures and diagrams you will need wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

2005 buick rendezvous thermostat

here is a pic of the thermostat housing in case you dont know what it looks like. its a very easy part to change although sometimes they are hard to get to. just make sure you do not put the thermostat in backwards the coil on the thermostat should go towards the hot side (coolant coming from the engine)

I wan to replace the coolant thermast, bu I don't know where the coolant thermastat is located.

if you want to replace your thermostat for the coolent it is located off the upper hose from the radiator going into the top of the motor. you will have to remove the hose from the housing then remove the housing itself and the thermostat will be sitting right there on top. make sure you remember whitch way its faceing so when you replace it you dont sit it down backwards or upsidedown.. also its a good idea to disconnect the battery because you should have ground wires running to the housing. make sure you have the proper gaskett also.. if you need to see it done first go to youtube videos and just type in changing thermostat there are alot of good videos that should help you out... i hope this helps get you going in the right direction..

Hi the thermostat in my vw polo 2002 is not working properly and i need to change it but dont know where it is located can u tell me

hi.
the thermostat housing is normally found where the top radiator hose connects to the engine. it is normally held on with 3 bolts and the thermostat is inside. do not forget to use a new gasket as well when replacing the thermostat and to top up the coolant with a water and antifreeze mix rather than just water.

Cooling system and thermostat location. having problem with overheating and need to know what could be causing this.

first look to see if anything is blocking the radiator on both sides that may be causing limited airflow. if nothing is blocking the radiator make sure the fan works. let the car warm up and wait to see if the fan turns on when it starts getting hot, but dont let it overheat. if the fan does work then it might be a stuck thermostat. the thermostat is located on the back side of the engine below the exhaust manifold. there is a downpipe for the radiator and there should be two bolts the you have to take off and the thermostat is between those two pipes. if the thermostat is replaced and you still have a problem with overheating it could be internal and i would suggest having it looked at as soon as possible. hope this helps and good luck! i had the same problem and mine was the thermostat. oh and one more thing, if you are going to change the thermostat yourself i would recommend putting the car on ramps at the very least due to the location of the thermostat. i had a lift which makes things a lot easier, but i think that ramps would do.

The radiator fan is working fine but the temperature sensor i dont know its locationmy car start overheating sometimes i need help.

The best way to get the exact location for the Temp sensor would be the Haynes Repair manual. As far as your overheating issue goes I would replace the Thermostat and see if that resolves the issue. Make sure the radiator has the correct amount of antifreeze in it.

I am trying to locate the thermostat in a 2000 Beetle

dont know if this helps much but I can tell you from experience that the thermostat is usually found on the engine side of the upper radiator hose so if you follow that to the engine you can usually locate the thermostat housing

Follow top radiator hose and it will lead directly to thermostat housing. Housing should have 3 bolts on it. Thermostat is under it.
