I am towing my 2001 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 in a tow dolly. Do I need to disconnect the rear drive shaft before towing?

Yes, because it will turn the transmission while you are towing. The problem is that the trans will not be getting any lubrication while it turns. Hope this helps.

Engine trouble light coming on 2003 jeep gr. cherokee

If the light is ywllow, it's emmissions or some sensor. You can drive to a service center and have the codes read. If the light is red...STOP!! and check engine oil. DO NOT drive further!! Have it towed in for service.
