My daughters car overheated and blew radiator fluid all over the engine. I am going to check the rubber hose'es and radiator for cracks.. what else should I look at?
You need to rent a coolant system pressure test tool from autozone, o'reily's, or any parts store. cost is $20, you get your money back when you return tool. very easy to use, fill radiator and resorvoir with water because coolant will only be wasted til you repair leak. attach tool to radiator and pressure up to somewhere around 12-15 psi. dont exceed 15 psi. pressure coolant system and look at water pump, radiator and hoses, heater hoses, scan engine.any and all leaks will be revealed.
