I have a 98 jeep cherokee it has the 4.0 6cyl. It is poping when you drive it and when you take off from a stop light it will pop atleast half a dozen times. it acts like it has a cloged fuel filter, but on this year the only fuel filter is in the tank on the fuel pump, anyone have any ideas?

If its popping then may be the plugs or wires but its deffinantly a firing problem

The check engine light is because all check engine light codes are caused by components that affect emissions. It's not actually an engine problem, it's a problem with either your O2 sensor, MAF sensor, fuel/air ratio, pyrometer, or exhaust.

I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee and when i turn it over it idles real high how do i fix this this .and when im driving it and come to a stop or turn it turn out and i half to start it back up again why is...

i had to replace the coolant sensor. Take it to Auto Zone and they will check it for you and tell u what u need.

Check the type of oil you are using as it clogs the pin in the oil poressure sender unit.

How do I access dash lights on '98 Grand Cherokee?

Remove 4 screws from bottom of lens; lift lens off from bottom.
Pull trip reset knob off and remove mask by liftng from bottom. Mask is snapped in along the top.

Also, can fin more details and graphics in the ZJ-Secc-8E-Instrument-Cluster-and-Gauges
