Check under seat unplug control module see if it is wet with fluid . cost me $138.00 fee.
Engine light on than next day off may 2 day then on at same place drive kid to school.
issue with transmission fluid wicking up the harness into the control module and causing the module to malfunction. Usually, the harness from the transmission to the ETC module is replaced and the module is replaced provided the leak is repaired. In some cases this may be more than is actually needed but it usually fixes the concern. Transmission fluid does not actually damage the module and can be flushed away with board cleaning solvent or electrical contact cleaner as a first attempt. Always repair the leak before replacing a module.

Hi there, i'm putting a new head on a 2004 2.2 sprinter. what i need to know is, is it possible to put the timing gear together without having to split the link on the chain?

I've never heard of a requirement to split a timing chain. You need to remove the timing cover, the cam gear(s), the crankshaft gear, and any idlers/tensioners, then install them according to the guidance provided in the service manual, ensuring the timing marks are aligned correctly.

Sprinter trans stuck in park

You have blown a brake light fuse is my guess due to shorted trailer wiring, The shifter is locked in park unless the brakes are applied and they work. Check the brake lights.

Did you try bulbs? Fuses? If so, then switch is a good bet. Worst case is new "board".

2008 Dodge Sprinter; key will not turn to start position

Same symptoms here. Vehicle towed to Dodge, been there a FULL 3 weeks, they seem stuck, telling me the part ( timing module? ) was bad, which releases the steering lock solenoid which in turn allows the key to turn among other critical functions.

I have read of this same failure over and over, so if there was a bad run of parts, they should have been identified and pulled from inventory.

Apparently, the dealership is stalling for reasons I do not fathom, and are not inclined to seek out advanced knowledge... just doing what the company tells em to do, which means I have no truck while they fail to be able to program these modules, one after the other.

So, it seems the Dodge dealer might either have a software problem with their equipment, or they got the procedures wrong for fixing it.

What they do not have is any curiosity or urgency to resolve the problem.

If I take it to a MB dealership, they will not honor the warranty.

Max 2004 sprinter codes p2238 p2245 what is

p2238 is the oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor #1 which is up stream in the exhaust manifold. My manual is showing that the current control crcuit is low. p2245 is the same sensor, showing that voltage circuit is low. Replacing this sensor should fix the problem.
