First I would check your fluid level. There are 2 plugs located on the rear of the transfer case. Remove the top one and verify fluid level. To repair the leak the transfer case will need to be removed and reinstalled with a new gasket.

Verify fluid level first, add if needed and verify that sound goes away. If sound fails to go away you will need to have the transfer case replaced or rebuilt. I think the fluid is Dextron III ATF. Double check with another source before adding fluid.

Engine vacuum leak and oil level come down and car smoking and engine noise

You can find the vacuum leak easily. With engine running, spray some starting fluid near where you suspect the leak to be. If the engine speeds up from sucking the starting fluid in at the leak, you found the leak. Fix it. As for the burning oil and engine noisy, you will need to rebuild or replace the engine because it's worn out.

you have a hydraulic leak there are two lines that meet in the middle by the light cluster both lines should be changed you have to pull back headliner to see lines and leak one line runs under drivers side panel near side of seat and other line runs under passenger side panel near the side of the seat going to the back seats and to the trunk where hydraulic motor and fluid box is its a hard job and takes about six hours to do lines arer 214.00 fluid is 70.00 and about 800 in labor

1998 Dodge Grnd Caravan is leaking steering fluid. Hoses appear to be in good shape. Could this indicate an imminent steering pump failure?

Hard to say where the leak is coming from. Check to see if on the end of the rubber hose (where it meets the metal) is saturated. If it is more than likely your high pressure line is starting to leak. Common problem in alot of vehicles.

2001 jeep grand cherokee leaking transmission fluid. It's not gushing out, just barely dripping when stopped and the tranny fluid level seems fine when checked (hot). It seems to be coming from the rear...

clean off entire area near where you suspect the leak is coming from, then look carefully to locate it. Try slightly tightening any bolts near the leak area after it's located If at the pan gasket do not overtighten or you will crush the gasket and it will leak more. Yes, it can be driven as long as you keep it full.

Loosing oil on the output shaft of the transfer case, I changed the seal two times it's still leaking. I HAVE A LEAK AT THE INPUT SHAFT ON MY TRANSFER CASE. iS THERE A SEAL i COULD CHANGE, OR TRY A CAN OF...

90 percent of the time stop leak does not work. Usually the seal between the transmission and transfercase goes out and forces all the fluid into the transfercase and leaks out the rear seal. Or the tranfercase or transmission breather could be plugged.
