There are headlight fuses and relays in the fuse box under the hood....possible, but not likely that both bulbs blew at once. Check the fuse box for anything marked "lights" or "head"....remove it, inspect and if it looks ok, replace. If in doubt that a fuse or relay is good, always replace it...here is an example of what it might look like...good luck
Have your alternator checked yet? Your alternator is what actually powers all of your devices and lights when the car is running. When it is failing it will cause lights to dim. Checking connections, fuses and your alternator should lead you to a good start! Good luck!
If only one headlight isn't operative, your fuse and bulbs are ok, then check for proper grounding at the headlight assembly. There should be a black wire that comes from the headlight assembly and is attached somewhere at a good grounding point. You can have power to the lamp, but if you don't have a solid ground connection, it won't light up.
Take out the bulbs and check them for continuity with a meter.
If they are OK then
Buy a 12v neon tester and check that there is power being supplied to each lamp by placing the crocodile clip onto a good clean earth and the probe tip onto the spade connector supplying the lamp
As the High and Low beams are individually supplied with voltage if there is nothing there then you need to go back to the fuse box and if they are OK back to the lighting switch itself
simple...check these fuses at the "Central juntion box"--F2-40, F2-06, F2-35, if ok then....F2-25 for LT lamp, F2-23 for RT lamp...if all good, check loom and connectors...knowing that the BULBS are good first....GL
