Reduced engine power on 04 chevy trailblazer, what does it mean

I would check the knock sensors. If you replace them do not buy knock off knock sensors they wont work. AC/delco unfortunately. Any OBD2 tester should pull up a code for you.

Code 327 and336 on my saturn 1998 sl

clunch ? clutch Are those P codes ? P0327 an P0336
The knock sensor is a piezoelectric device that produces an output voltage based on mechanical engine vibration. The PCM will retard the electronic spark timing on the signal being received. The knock sensor produces an AC signal. The amplitude and signal frequency is dependent upon the knock level. During normal operation, the knock sensor system attempts to filter out all engine noise that is not caused by spark knock. The diagnostic test for DTC P0327 turns OFF all filtering during the first 20 seconds of engine run time. If a sufficient amount of noise is detected during the 20 second test, the diagnostic passes. If no noise is detected, the diagnostic fails. Since DTC P0327 is a type B code, the diagnostic must fail during 2 consecutive ignition cycles to set the DTC.
DTC P0336
The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor defines engine position by generating an electrical pulse each time it passes by a notch of the crankshaft reluctor wheel. The PCM uses crankshaft sensor pulses for fuel delivery and spark timing.

Code p0325

P0325 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction
A knock sensor tells the engine computer when one or more of your engine's cylinders are "knocking", that is, exploding the air/fuel mixture in a way that delivers less power and can be damaging to the engine if prolonged.
The computer uses this information to tune the engine so that it doesn't knock. If your knock sensor wasn't operating properly, so that it was always indicating a knock, the engine computer's response may have been to change the ignition timing on your engine. Knock sensors generally bolt into or thread into the engine block. This P0325 code may show up intermittently or the Service Engine light may be lit constantly. Other knock sensor related DTC codes include P0330.
Symptoms You may notice drivability problems including a lack of power and perhaps some hesitation. There may also be other symptoms.
Causes A code P0325 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:
  • The knock sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
  • There is a wiring short/fault in the knock sensor circuit

Knock sensor for 2007 Saturn outlook. I can't pass emissions test!

Check engine light on ? What code ? There are many different (DTC'S) - diagnostic trouble codes that can set for knock sensors ! There all don't mean that you replace the sensor .
DTC P0324: Knock Sensor (KS) Module Performance
DTC P0325: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Bank 1
DTC P0326: Knock Sensor (KS) Performance
DTC P0327: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Low Bank 1
DTC P0328: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit High Bank 1
DTC P0330: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Bank 2
DTC P0332: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Low Bank 2
DTC P0333: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit High Bank 2

The knock sensor (KS) system enables the control module to control the ignition timing for the best possible performance while protecting the engine from potentially damaging levels of detonation. The sensors are located below each cylinder head on the engine block. The KS produces an AC voltage signal that varies depending on the vibration level during engine operation. The control module adjusts the spark timing based on the amplitude and the frequency of the KS signal. The control module receives the KS signal through 2 isolated signal circuits. The control module learns a minimum KS noise level at idle and uses calibrated values for the rest of the RPM range. The control module should monitor a normal KS signal within the noise channel.
Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 1
Remove the exhaust manifold lower heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Lower Heat Shield Replacement.
Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the bank 1 knock sensor (2).
Loosen the knock sensor bolt and remove the knock sensor.
Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
Remove the engine oil filter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
Lower the vehicle.
Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the bank 2 knock sensor (3).
Loosen the knock sensor bolt and remove the knock sensor.

What will happen if your knock sensor wire are not being connected and your error code p0325 keeps coming back after you reset the code?My truck is nissan pathfinder 1998 xe model.

DO NOT EVER change a knock sensor. It is a total waste of $600 and will do it again. It is not harmful to get this code. Usually, it means you have broken motor mounts, typically the right side. Do not use aftermarket, they fail quickly.

I have a 02 xterra and did not pass the emission test. The code showing was knock sensor, I replace it, but still dont pass. SOS please 3300cc.

Codes do not tell you what to replace
They only tell you that a malfunction occured
Does not mean anything need replacing
Example: if you got an O2 Sensor code from a loose
vacuum hose ,would you change the sensor.
Most people would. I would diagnose and repair the hose,
letting in the extra oxy and leaning out my sensor.

What where the Emission Readings?

What did it fail for
HC,CO,NOX

Diagram location knock sensor quest 1998,I don't find the knock sensor on the nissan quest 1998

it is buried under the intake manifold. But ignore the knock sensor code, it means absolutely nothing. It will not resolve any issue you have. The KS code is usually the result of a broken engine mount.

go here if you have any issues.

98 Nissan Maxima - Check Engine Light, Knock Sensor

If the car is pinging you will set a knock sensor code.'
This comes from bad gas and running lean., You really need this professionally inspected to rule out the basics. I have seen alot of nissans with the knock sensor code stored but the light is still off.
Fill up the tank with high octane chevron and some techron injector cleaner and clear the light. If it stays off for a couple days then go get it inspected. Even if the code is stored it will still pass as long as the light is still off and the monitors have run.

I have 1998 Nissan Frontier with an engine light on. I paid a mechanic to put in a speed sensor and the light came back on the day after he put in the new part. The codes before he worked on the truck were...

the PO 325 code is for VSS vichicle speed sensor and PO500 is for a knock sensor,so you will need to see what the new code is to be able to help you, the engine power manegment is controled by both get it scanned by autozone or the mechanic that did the work and see if it's the same code, if it is you may have a short or an ecm going bad. let us know what codes you find.
