Possibly the fuel filter is slowly plugging up while driving to the point of starving the engine, and when engine stops pressure slowly backfeeds the filter to slightly unplug ..enough to start and run for another couple of minutes.. also check EGR valve for sticking open sometimes a piece of carbon will hold the pintle open causing it to stall..also I know you checked fuel pressure but monitor it to see if it drops off after going down the road...I have seen this where fuel pump gives pressure but not enough after a while, this was caused by a torn pulsator which is the rubber connector between the pump and the fuel line inside the fuel tank...Good luck

Check the vacuum lines on the engine.sometimes these will crack or develop a small hole or break and it will **** too much air in the engine causing it to act that way.

I'd check the electric going to the fuel pump as well as any other devices. An intermittent short, bad ground wire can stop the fuel pump.
I'd be more specific with the description. "Falls on it's face", is not a good description.

2005 Dodge Stratus 2.4L,runs good until you start to drive it, then it bogs down and falls on its face

could be clogged fuel filter or low fuel pressure due to a weak pump or fuel pressure regulator.

Starts up like normal but jumps up to about 3 grand on the tach then falls down to 1.5 and stays there, engine surges at this idle. Runs good on the road till u have to stop and surges(jumps a little)....

P1294 indicates a vacuum problem or a idle motor control problem. Since you already checked for vacuum leak then the iac on the side of the throttle body will need to be removed and cleaned. The best thing to do is remove the whole throttle body so it can be cleaned as well - both with carb cleaner. The idle solenoid (motor) on side of throttle body should be removed to do a through cleaning. All of the black needs to be removed from inside both before remounting to the intake. Make sure all connections and bolts are tight before starting engine.

I would check to see if the cooling fans are coming on. The fans could be bad or you may have a blown fan fuse or fan relay.

THROTTLE BODY needs to be taken apart and cleaned. Hand clean the sensor and idle valve, they are electric do not soak them, check them also, Idle valve likes to stick and position sensor likes to go out. HUNT

Oil Pressure drops but returns when i restart

your engine needs flushed .what is going on is idle has less pressure than driving and the sump is picking up dirt and debris but when you turn off or idle the debris falls off the sump.
