Po443 code 2002 ford taurus

Need to get a can of gumout and with it idling spray around the top of the upper plenum to see if you have a vacuum leak if you have a leak it will either idle up slightly or kill the engine very very common on the 3.0 Taurus ,little more information would be helpful like how many miles are on the car

. code po305 is cylinder 5 misfire that can a bad spark plug or a injector.po153 is a o2 sensor. there is 3 on your engine. which one did they replace. the code po153 is for the front one it is in front of the radiator. code po443 is for the purge solenoid ,but there is many things the can cause the code the garage should have checked things first. wow

Its possible. In this time span Ford used two different motors, the overhead valve (OHV) Vulcan V6, and the Duratec 24V V6, which will bear the 24v DOHC badge on the front fender.

Flashing "check engine" light means to get it checked now.
A lot of parts stores will check it for free to find out the codes causing the malfunction.
(I'll bet you have a misfire on one of your cylinders.)

i would check the plug wires and the coils you check the plug wires for bad spots at night start the motor up and look at the plugs if you see a spark arch out the wire and to a peace of metal then the plug wires need to be replace.

you need to take apart and see if the light is burnt out. If the light is ok you may have a fuse for it. If both check out then when a check engine light does not work and the wiring is ok then the problem is in the PCM

you should be able to. as long as you swap a 12v with a 12v or 24v with a 24v

That sounds like a good start. Especially if they are old plugs and wires. But the best to do is go to your local auto parts store and see if they will plug it into an obdII code reader to see if the car shows any codes.

You can always just try plugs and wires first if you want.

The circuit is expanding in hot wheather to the point where it is broken. In cold whether circuits and circuit boards contract slightly, reconnecting a weak solder point. Do you have an intermittant check engine light? Is it constantly on? If so new problems can arise, but the check engine light will not tell you about any new issues, it simply remains on. Get it diagnosed at any shop with any OBD2 interface to diagnose your cars specific issues. If not, just save time and replace the starter. It's probably different from engine to engine...you either have a 3.0 liter vulcan V6 or the zoomier 24 valve V6. Call the parts counter at any ford dealer and say the right things and the parts guy may tip you off on known issues. I had a 96 24v..it was a pile.

Check engine light is frequently a loose fuel cap, but the other problem could be a bad fuel pump, or a clogged fuel filter. Try the fuel filter first - its the cheapest.
