My 2004 gmc envoy windshield wipers won't turn off. they will speed up, and slow down, but won't turn off unless the car is off, or the fuse is removed. what can be the cause of this?

Not the wiper switch. The wiper circuit board (delay module) is the problem. We have replaced many of these for the same problem.

2004 Cadillac Deville - Same exact problem. Installed a new motor w/pulse regulator
    (Part #88958171 - Western Power Sports #WPM1029)
    Still can't turn off.
It initially only ran with the two speeds working and progressed into highest speed only. The new motor and pulse regulator returned it back to two speeds but still unable to turn off.

2004 gmc envoy window won't go up rear wiper obstruction

I know this question is old, but I am responding so others with the same problem can see. I wired the Rear Window Motor Park Signal wire and the Rear Window Motor Speed Signal wire together and it completely bypassed the rear wiper motor. Now the window goes up and down. This doesn't fix the rear wiper motor, but you will be able to have access to it now that the window is out of the way

I made and album to show.

Front windshield wipers turned on by themselves and will not shut off manually unless fuse is taken out . please help 2002 gmc chevy envoy SE

If you have the automatic rain sensors try un-plugging the round "disc" on the windscreen. This is the sensor and might be shot.

Replace wiper motor to correct problem, removing fuse will cause other problems as there are other devices run by one fuse. You could unplug wiper motor if acessable.
