My dash lights, climate control lights, and taillights all went out at the same time. I think I checked all fuses, what could it be?

I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to cars, but i understood everything you said except the fuse wires. How exactly do I check those, and where would they be?

These are all connected to the same circuit. Check all bulbs and relays , fuses or fuse wires. Fuse wires are wires that burn out if a short is found. The relays maybe under the hood in the "black fuse box'. I will appreciate yourthumbs up if this helps .

i found it to be a 15 amp blue fuse located in the engine compartment fuse box location 17. this took care of tail lights and dash lights.

Climate control lights in Nissan sentra 97 all just went out dash ones still work not dimmer switch is it a fuse if so which one

You will have to remove the dash to get to it. If it were a fuse chances other lights or the climate controls themselves would not work...

Anyone know anything about the wiring for a Ford Falcon XR6? Rear lights do not work including number plate light, fuses and relays all appear good, but strangely enough when I pull the rear lights fuse...

seems that taillights and dash lights are on the same circuit, they did that years ago so that if your dash lights went out you knew that you had no taillights, chech the grounds for the taillights, and check for voltage at the socket, from there its a search for broken wires

Dash lights and taillights out fuses all ok

In battery junction box or the under hood fuse panel check fuse no 11(15amp),it will be at the center of the fuse box where there is 4 fuse slots but looks like only 3 fuses, if this fuse in good then you will see a relay that is shaped kinda like a cross. This is the parklamp relay which also powers the dash lights.

Have headlights but no taillights

Put in a radio lately? - you'll probably find that the fuse is blown for the dash lights; and the stereo is wired incorrectly - if no radio - then there is a control module that controls the lighting I think - put in fog lamps either? I'd bet it was either fog lights or radio incorrectly installed, or control unit. You'll find that the dash lights and tail lights are usually connected (on same circuit). Be sure to turn the key "on" and check both sides of all fuses with a test light. If that turns up nothing, then a wiring diagram and some time are required....
