Replace the turn signal 'Clicker' also known as the turn signal relay. Most likely the problem unless you have a really wierd electical issue that will be hard to isolate...
Peace,
OK, you got me thinking more... I recall having a problem like this with my 03 Grand Carvan. ended up being the turn signal switch itself. It would blink a few times and then quit at firat then it stopped blinking all together.
When I took the switch apart I found that the lube they used was contaminated with something that turned the clear grease black...
Just another thought....
Peace,

Thanks but, sorry, that doesn't make sense, if the turn sig relay were faulty it would effect both left and right signals the same way. The Tibby is pretty weird in as much as its not just a relay and a two-way switch like simple cars. I suspect something wrong in the Body Control Module which seems to sit between the switch and the lights - it may be one of the surface mount relays on its PCB sticking or the logic might be screwed - I've not been able to trace the circuit board but it looks like they integrate the hazard lights, alarm, and turn signals on the PCB and use the one pulse relay up-stream to flash the lights. Anyone know anything more about the BCM?
Thanks John but my problem is the opposite - the left indicator stays on even when the relay is not providing power and the right indicator works normally. Conceivably the turn switch could be faulty but if it were then you would expect the left signal to flash at the same rate as the right or not at all, I cannot think of any way the switch can make the left lights stay on.
From what I can determine the lights hang off the BCM and the indicator switch is just one of the inputs to the module (along with alarm and hazard switch) Clearly there is some logic happening within the magic of the BCM's electronics which determines where the power is going - there are a few surface-mount relays on the PCB and perhaps two of these control the indicator lights in which case one of the relays may be frozen in the on position resulting in the left signal lights constantly getting power. Without a circuit diagram of the BCM I am unable to take this hypothesis further or narrow down the faulty component.
Thanks. I'd forgotten about this posting. I endedup replacing the BCM - the car ended up it would not turn over and start. Seems the BCM was well and truely on the way out.
