My 2002 chevy HD 4x4 diesel duramax --- the service engine soon light stays on and when this happens my automatic transmission wont shift correctly ??? it stays in like 3rd gear and wont change ??? i havent had any problem before this happend ..im thinking it mit my be a switch problem??
Sounds like the PRNDL switch on the side of the transmission. Be sure and clear the code before trying to start after replacing it.
