Air bag light stays on

Have the clock spring checked

Need professional scan tool to get the codes
& then factory manuals to diagnose

Nothing will happen including air bag operation in the future. Air bag system is disabled by the computer any time the light is on. Probably have damaged sensor wires or sensor in the front due to previous front end damage. If a body shop repaired your car, take it back and demand they fix your car properly as this is part of the job.
NOTE: Before installing the air bags be sure to disconnect the battery "and" remove the air bag fuse and wait at least 3 minutes before working with the system. Safety first !!!

The air bag light will remain illuminated if a fault has been detected in the air bag system.
The onboard computer will need to be interfaced with diagnostic equipment to read the fault.
This is also the only way to reset the light.

most likely suspect is the clockspring.easy to change out just be sure the battery is unhooked for at least 20 min.

srs means secondary restraint system. e.g air bags and things like that. when it stays on for a few seconds its because it is doing a systems check. if the light stays on all the time then there is a problem. hope i helped.

usually, this is an ignition switch problem.

If you want your air bag to work, you should take the vehicle to a shop for service. This light indicates it probably won't deploy in an accident.

SRS is for the air bag. Thje computer is detecting a problem with the air bag. Read the codes. If you dont have access to a code reader then take it to a shop and have the codes read

check the fuses and wiring in the fuse box and the relay ,either that or the abs pump has a problem.
