Accessories battery for 500 sl?

Accessories battery for 2004 500 SL where is it and it is made only by Mercedes? They want to charge me $350 to change mine, even though the car is under warranty.

It should be in the boot under the floor ,and if its a petrol version a 74 amp hour battery is sufficient and should cost trade about 60/70 euros and retail about 90/100euros

Do you check the hydraulic fluid level, on my 1997 Sl 500, with the top up or down?

Top needs to be up when top is down the Pistons extend with fluid showing it is low and if you fill at that time when you close it the Pistons will go back in and fluid will run out and possible cause of a leak
