My 2006 Volvo V50 won't start.

think itsa a chain on this engine but cannot remember as i work on so many different cars ,if its a chain then leave it alone unless its noisey .

I believe it's every 80k. Just do it if you don't know when it was done last , these are non-tolerence motors and you will do damage to the valves if you break the belt in motion.

Check battery voltage (engine off= 12V; engine on=14.4V), then check fuses, then connect with Volvo diagnostic tool and check for error codes.

Check CEM connectors.
Also sometimes aftermarket HID xenon kits can damage wiper module.

MOST RECOMEND 60 TO 80
SHOULD BE ALSO REPLACED IF COOLANT OR OIL HAVE SOAKE THE BELT

The very best information I have ever gotten for tow bar wiring and even trailor hitch parts and installations have been from Budget truck Rental Locations.
Seems that is a major part of their business, installing tow hitches, bars, wiring, to conform to DOT rules and regs.

mines got same problem

Find one of the Volvo forums / Volvo clubs on the net (there are many) and search there fot the answer. I'm 100% it's already answered ;)

Some fuses & relays are in the motor compartment (near battery).

Other fuses, relays and the main computer are under the dashboard on the passenger side.
