Normally the sensor will reset after a few miles of driving. If it doesn't, most reputable tire shops (probably including the one that is putting in the new valve stem) can reset the computer for a fee.

What does reset tire mean

It's a sensor that goes off when your tire pressure is too low or too high. Check the air pressure.

Tire error

It's either the pressure in one-four of your tires being at least 7lbs different than the other tire(s) or your pressure sending unit(connected to the inside of the valve stem) is bad. Replace the air to recommended tire pressure or replace the pressure sending unit.

Cabin (tire) indicator light.

No, it will stay on cause the system is set up for tire pressure monitors. If you change to standard valve stems it wont be able to read tire pressure, therefore it thinks its low om air and the light stays on.

How do I reset the TPMS warning light on my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder ? I have inflated a low air pressured tire too the proper inflation pressure, but the warning light remains on. Can anyone help me with...

My daughter has a 2006 Murano, and has had the same problems.
Replacement Tire Pressure sensors are available from e-bay online, but when the first one of hers quit, I found out from the dealer that the computer loses track and must be reset. I would not replace any wheel sensors just yet.
Where we live, the Nissan dealer wants about $150 to reset the computer and turn off the "flat tire" light.
Recently, a local tire store has offered to do this for free.
I took my daughter's car in to have the computer reset.
The store manager says they cannot reset Nissans or Toyotas, only the dealer can.
So, my daughter is living with the "flat tire" light.

How do i get this low tire pressure light to turn off if all my tires have proper air in them???

First you need to know how the system works. Your factory rims should have magnetic valve stems, thats how the on board computer detects them, the rolling speed of a tire at 32 psi. is different than at say 25 psi. thats how the computer knows it's not at the right pressure. so if you have done anything to change the fact of the special valve stem I told you about such as putting you spare tire on this would be cause of your light being on. cause the spare tire does not have the special valve stem.

Tire pressure is correct but tps indicate a low pressure in one tire. service engine light comes on after a long drive and then goes off after a while.

Lets start with the tps light, make sure to check the tire pressure in the spare also as some car makers have a sensor on the spare also, after you sett all the tire pressures the light should go off after a small drive if not then i would reset the tps system,to reset the system you will first need to see if there is a sensor in the spare, the valve stem will be a regular rubber stem, this means no sensor or if it has the metal stem with the nut then it has a sensor but i will say it does not as i looked it up, the first step is to turn ignition on without starting the engine, so turn key until dah lights lite up this will be right before the start mode next push and hold the lock and unlock button on the remote, you will hear the horn chirp this means you are in program mode next you will start at the front left tire start to release air until the horn chrips after the horn chirps move to rt front tire and let air out until you hear the horn chirp you will continue to rt rear and let air out until horn chirp and last is left rear at the left rear the horn will double chirp this meand program is done turn key off. now set all tire to correct pressure and drive, light should go off, make sure to have all valve caps off as it gives you a total of 5 mins to complete the program but once key is off you have plenty of time, during the program mode if you are letting air out and the horn doesnt chirp then that tire has a bad sensor, you will need to let out at least 10lbs for the computer to pick up a change in the sensor, if the tire is flat from letting air out and the horn doesnt chirp then that sensor is bad, hope this helps, have a good day. note make sure you have an air pump or do this at an air pump as you will need to reset tire pressure .

The tire pressure monitoring light is flashing . where is the battery for this at? we have checked the tires and the pressure is ok . we were told there is a battery that may be low. can someone tell me...

Thats not right, theres no battery if the light is flashing then theres a problem, check the spare tire and make sure thats got the correct amount of air and it it does then you may have a bad sensor, the sensor is part of the valve stem where you add air to the tire, each tire has a sensor, start with the spare. you should be able to set all tires pressures even the spare and then drive a few miles and it will reset if it does not then you have a bad sensor, they can be tested at a tire shop to see which one is bad,

How do i take the wheel sensors off of a 2007 ford five hundred?

Hi, if you are referring to the tire pressure sensors they are actually the valve stems that you put air into the tire with, the sensor is inside the tire and it is not able to be taken out without taking the tire off of the rim and removing the sensor and installing a standard valve stem. But if you remove the sensor your little tire warning light will stay on. Good luck

Tire pressure hazard light.

good afternoon and welcome to fixya.
your problem is relatively easy to fix, stop the car by a tire barn or discount tire and have them reset the tpms sensor that is located under the valve stem, it is not working properly, or it is broke, you may need to have them check them after they reset them, if the light comes back on. there is a computer inside your tire that tells you when a tire is low, if the sensor is bad they normally run between 30-100 dollars depending on where you get it at. that should fix your problem, good luck and let me know
