I have a warning light theat flashes occassionally it looks like a rising sun and is situated next to the enginge warning light

that means the left headlight occasionally doesn't work.

As we do not have this model Mazda in the USA, so you will need to try and find an owner's manual, try eBay motors for a used one.

It sounds like you have a ground issue near the transmission. Make sure the ground strap above the upper radiator hose is booked down good. Also check the plugs on the transmission for a loose connection.

ABS Light could mean a bearing. But my lights were, ABS L/S, Service engine soon and another right next to it R/S.

What exactly does the warning light look like? It is probably the transmission warning light. The transmission uses the radiator to cool the transmission fluid. You need to have your cooling system serviced on a 10 year old car. Drain, flush, fresh coolant, new thermostat. A full service. Keep driving and you may end up with a transmission repair. The 16pin Diagnostic plug is situated inside the vehicle, usually under the dash, above the knee of the driver (on either side of vehicle).

This is what it looks like:


If you do not have the appropriate scanner, you can retrieve the computer diagnostics by the following process:

1) turn key 'off'
2) connect pins 1 & 4 of the connector (using a suitable jumper wire)
3) turn key to 'on' (do not run engine)
4) any fault codes present, will flash the appropriate warning light on the instrument cluster. E.g. if you have an ABS fault, the ABS warning light will flash. If you have an EFI issue, the Engine Light will flash etc.

That symbol is the low tire pressure light. You have a tire that is right at the minimum threshold. The light goes off as the tire temperature rises, and, as the temp rises, the internal air pressure also rises slightly. Just check the tires with a good pressure gauge, inflate them to the specs printed on the tag inside your driver's side door, and you will be just fine.

It the brake pad warning light, prob need your pads changing!

If it's round with a line down the middle, then it's a fault in brake system warning. You should check your brake fluid level.
