Here can find two documents:
- Jeep XJ Cooling-System Section 7
- Jeep XJ Cooling-System Section 7a

Also, the other sections about Jeep XJ Cherokee Service Manual

Hope thats help (remember rated this). Good luck.

1998 jeep cherokee sport fan blowing only on max

More then likely it is you heater relay. it is located inside the vehicle on the passenger side under the glove box. You will have to remove the cover under the glove box and you will find it there. Should take about 30 to replace it.

Fan relay is located under pass headlight. Remove light assembly, use 2 1/2 " hole saw to drill hole in plastic housing ,3"from back wall, 3'' from left side. This will put you right over relay. Unscrew two bolts, replace. Relay was $40.... dealer wanted$350 to remove front bumper to replace it.

Need to replace fan relay can't find it

Behind your battery, there's a black plastic cover that once removed, you'll be able to see all the relays and fuses. Yes, it's known as your "Power Distribution Center", and your cooling fan "fuse" (which is quite a bit larger than your normal fuses), is fuse number 13 which is a 20 amp yellow fuse. Underneath the cover you removed there's a diagram of all the relays and fuses...just FYI.

Good Luck,

Electrical short!

That sounds like the cooling fan relay. Find fuse/relay cover and check condition of fan relay. It should be labeled. Easy to replace.

Good luck,
