My 89 oldsmobile cutless supreme keeps dying while running like cutting right off and sometimes it stalls the radio stopped working and so did the dash lights it also will not roll the window up all the way all at once acts like its not getting enough power but thats even with a new battery

Sounds like a RFID issue. Your key most likely has a chip inside of it. Most of the time people will have multiple keys on their key chain that can cause interference with the receiver in your steering column. Try using the one ignition key to start.

Does the car have tilt steering more than likley tis the piece in the steering column that has a broken wire and thats why it wont start.

The back up lights are controlled by the neutral safety switch. That is usuall mounted to the top of the transmission. It also has the shift cable attached above it so that will have to come off. Also when you put the new switch in it will need to be adjusted to insure tha car starts in park and nuetral.
