I had same problem on my 97 tahoe shut off while driving and wouldnt start only turned over. checked everything and when i replaced ignition module started right up no problem. Hope this helped and saved ya money
it just a basic tools. find the filter and see what size it is. crawl under the truck on the driver's side, follow the fuel line from the fuel tank to the filter(shape:cylindrical). make sure the line has no pressure. you should pull the fuse for the "fuel pump" relay, then start the engine and allow it to stall.
Your issue is with either spark or fuel delivery and you need to check the components in each system for proper operation. Such as pump, cables, camnshaft sensor, igniter, etc.
Well you need fuel to the injectors, a spark, compression, air and a signal to the injectors to fire for the engine to start.
So if you've got fuel, make sure you have spark to the plugs, the air filter is not clogged, compression is above 120, and the crank and cam positions sensors are good.
