I have a 2000 s10 pickup, if the truck is siting and idling the temp stay at about 195- 200, and the heater blows great, but when i take off down the road the temp will go down to 150-160, and then their is not any heat.i changed the thermostat and made sure the coolant was full. Any suggestions??
Test radiator and cap - cooling system must be holding correct pressure. Is the thermostat in upside down, if there is a bleed hole in the thermostat is it in the correct position?
Obviously there is a thermostat or pressure problem.
All chevys do that same thing the only thing i can say is put a small temp in the thermostat
