Yeah dude, this isn't that hard or take that much time, your going to wanna disconnect your battery like usual. to get to the plugs, you will have to take off that black air box thing on top of your motor, it is just like a couple screws or something. then you'll see the coils and just unscrew and replace them one at a time, the hardest ones will be the ones in the back, but even those ones arnt that hard to get out. if your check engine light comes on after it is all done just disconnect your battery again and then turn the key to erase the error thing and then replug in your battery. any more help can be found on google

Are There are 16 spark plugs for a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500

Wow, I was going to say No, but it does!

16 spark plugs
Now, let's review the procedures to replace the spark plugs on the 2004-2005 5.7L HEMI engine ... eight of the 16 spark plugs are located under an ignition coil, those coils will have to be removed.

I need to change my rear spark plugs

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 seconds before performing any other work.
  2. Remove the ignition coil(s). The Spark Plugs are underneath the Coils
  3. Using a 0.63 inch (16mm) plug wrench, remove the spark plug
  4. CAUTION== Replace your Spark Plugs with the Original Type Plug Brand Name and Spark Plug Number OR you will have Problems with PRE-INGNITION: DON'T SUBSTITUTE to Any other Type Spark Plug. You might have to get them at the Dealer Ship.

How to change sparks plugs on a 5.7 1500 dodge ram?

There are 2 plugs per cylinder, so you will need 16 all together. The spark plugs are located under the coil packs, remove the coils and the plugs are at the bottom of the spark plug tubes. On the earlier modes of the 5.7 one plug is under the coil and the other is connected by a spark plug wire, but yours should be the newer version where they are under the coils only

04' Ram 1500, bad mis-fire. cust repl s/plugs. no help. Codes for coils #7 & 8 w/mis-fire. replaced coils & wire set. Better, but still P0300. Compression good

You still have random misfires (PO300)
You most likely replaced those coils that set a code, and those were not the one bad offender, spiking the computer module.
Take a new coil and put in a cylinder,no change, replace old coil and move new one to next cylinder. You can do that once or twice a day, if you have nothing else to do. You need a 90 degree day, to really get that solved, unless you have an ignition oscilloscope.
Never had a bad spark plug in 45 years.

Need to know which man is right. How many spark plugs in a 2005 Dodge Ram with a 4.7L Magnum?

The 4.7L engine has 8 spark plugs and 8 coils. The 5.7L has 16 spark plugs fired by 8 coils. Tha't's usually where the confusion between these two motors comes into play.
