The serial number is engraved on the block, very tough to see. Why do you need it?
The dealer would have to request TMS -Toyota motor sales and then the manufacturer, Toyota Texus plant.

I currently have the same issue on my 2008 Tundra. I have noticed that one of the 12v acces plugs don't work. The problem is intermittent and started when the air was damp or after it rained. Now the same lights are on, the 12v doesn't work and the remote door locks don't work. Toyota want to run a diagnostic check at $125 an hour. Did you solve your problem?

I would suggest having your mechanic scan the computer for viable trouble codes. WIthout that information, it is hard to determine the exact cause of your problem.
However, my experiences with the Tundra leads me to suggest that you have a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor...A concise scan and any codes would alow us to really help you out a lot better.
Auto-lock on the doors is the default setting. You dealer should be able to change this setting for you. If your current dealership cannot, then take it to another, presumably better, dealership.
Go back and pay them what they want to look up the engine serial number.
