The dim headlights on my 2005 impala stopped working (both dim lights). The brights work and all other lights work. Ck'd ground(good), ck'd both bulbs with ohm meter(good), reseated connections. Any ideas

2005 buick lacrosse cxl... dash lights and interior lights are going dim to bring to dim to bright very rapidly

First, check that the battery connections are clean and not corroded. If not look for the ground wires that connect to the chassis. Check to see if any are corroded or loose. Finally if that has no effect, you have a short somewhere in your wiring. The easy way to isolate it is to pull the fuses for each device one by one and see if the dimming stops. The last one to cause the dimming is the problem. If it happens when you hit a bump it also might be a ground fault in the interior car grounds....good luck!

I replace my headlights motor on my 01 ta and

If you have dim headlights most likely cause is a bad ground. ck the black wire at the headlight bulb with test light connected to battery pos +12 v if test light does not light or is dim than you have a bad ground wire that needs to be repaired
