I have a 96 jeep cherokee country with a 4.0. the engine runs fine,no missing, loss of power, etc. but sometimes it will just quit,no missing or anything it just cuts off.sometimes it will start right back and sometimes i have to let it sit a little while.sometimes it will run at low idle speeds and try to quit.i think it may be a throttle positioning sensor,an idle sensor,or a crank sensor.before i start playing the game of elimination do you have any suggestions.

1993 Jeep Cherokee starts when cold. Runs short distance.

It can possibly be the crank position sensor mounted on the top of the bell housing on the passenger side of the vehicle causing the problem. I have replaced a few of these for the same reason.
