Is it a 4x4? the wheel bearing comes with a new hub assembley . Just find out what size the front half shaft nut/ lock nut/axle nut- is. its probably a 33mm thats the only special tool you will need. Unscrew it, take your outer tie rod off the spindle/steering knuckle, theres 3 bolts behind it, take them off then disconect the abs harness and pry out the old hub assembley use a rubber hammer (dead blow hammer) to tap the half shaft out if seized. when installing the new wheel bearing see your manufacturer specs. for torquing the axle nut back on.

How to replace front right wheel bearing

Front wheel drive?if so which i think it is you need to remove the whole hub assy then use a universal hub seperator to remove the bearing then press a new bearing in. some vehicles such as ford festiva need a special tool to adjust a shim thickness which is imperative. I would sugest you get a 2nd hand hub assy with a good bearing in it & just replace the whole assy :-)

Replace front wheel bearing

The front wheel bearing for your Impala is an integrated wheel hub/bearing/ABS.
The whole thing gets replaced. It should look like the one off my Bonneville; Bearing.

Remove wheel/tire. Remove brakes. Remove rotor. Remove axle nut. Press-out axle shaft*. Unplug ABS connector. Remove 3 bearing bolts.

*To press out axle, you may need a special tool from an auto parts store.
Don't forget to put the heat sheild back on during reassembly, and the axle nut need to be very tight.

Need to replace front wheel bearing on 93 sonoma 4x4

If you are asking how to do this ... I first need to say this is not a job for the untrained. You will have to have special tools and skills to efffect this repair.

If you do have the specifications (get from the public library) and the special tools (at a minimum - torque wrench, pliers, screw driver, hammer, floor jack, jack stands), and the right parts, you still need to get the special grease (and be ready to pack the bearings) before you even jack the truck up.

If done incorrectly, the consequences are pretty grim, ranging from a wheel lock up to loss of a wheel and colateral damage. Don't enter into this project lightly.
