Toyota corolla T3 will not lock/unlock from the key fob. Even tried the brand new spare key set which has never been used yet. Can use key to manually unlock and start car. Batteries seem to give a strong light on both keys. Is there anything else it can be other than the batteries?

Sounds like the unlock button on your key fob is the problem, try your spare key fob, if you don't have a spare fob, it's time to get a new one.

Sounds as if the security system has been activated. Try locking and unlocking the doors with the key fob and make sure you are using the normal key ( if equipped ) that you normally use

go to any Toyota dealer. They will sell you a new key fob but they also charge extra for programming. Total cost for the key fob and programming will be around $100. any Toyota dealer can do it for you

You should be able to close all doors and use the key to lock & unlock drivers door 2 times each & it should reset all-Good Luck if I didn't see this till too late,JT

This one you may be stuck paying the 50 dollars but what I would do first is contact the manufacturer of the remote control. I would bet they will help you out. The other option is to go to an after market installer of car alarms that is a bit smaller. They will most likely help you in the hopes of you coming back for further business.

the key is bad,
use the spare key that came with all new cars.
always keep a spare. or get stranded.

try the other fob.
the buttons on fobs can short.(its just a plastic membrane with carbon pad in the fob and can go bad.(cracks or crumbles inside...........)
so put the suspected fob far away from car, and use the good new fob. work now, and a new FOB battery, too.
if you only have one fob, now's the time to get the spare.
no fob lasts forever. not not ever.

System could have been reset by using valet key. Battery could have power, but not enough to operate system. Was there a battery problem at any time?

Battery of fob must be strong to work. You can try reinitialising the fob.
