I need to know which is spark plug #6 on my 1998 ford taurus so i can change it myself

spark plugs work better when theyre hot so change spark plugs,

Do one sparkplug one cylinder at at time.Match up the length of the plug wire with the replacement one.one cylinder at a time

You should inspect and replace the spark plugs on your Ford Taurus every 30000 miles.

spark coils are located on top center of the engine under hood. wiggle connections and see if there are any loose. If you can not find the coils, follow the spark plug wires back from the spark plug it will lead to the coil. good luck

It is the same as VIN U:

you can either reach them from underneath(its still tight too get too)
or take lose the the motor mount on the top passenger side and rock the engine forward!!!

You have to remove the parts that are in the way, then lay on top of the engine to get at the plugs, you will need a good spark plug boot removal tool as well or you will tear the plug boots, the plugs don't need changing until 100,000 miles.
