Lost my 2008 Acura MDX Key, Memory #1, but i do still have the #2. What are my option. The dealer is quoting around 300. If I buy from Ebay #1 memory key, I guess I can reprogram the transponder, but what about the actual metal flip key which is required to start the car? Can I have the local locksmith prepare one from the second key ? Thanks in advance for your help

Push the select and reset switch at the same time, turn the ignition switch ON (II), and hold them more then 10 seconds.

Hi there,
I dont know about your other problems with the solenoid or etc., but i recently replaced the starter on my cousin's Acura TL (98yr.).Now if this is your problem I can help,1st. disconnect your battery so you dont get fried!!! LOL,next you have to remove the cv boot or cv axel from the tranne no exceptions.Then you remove the lower bolt (which you get to under the car by the driverside tire)the last bolt is in the back by the fire wall (facing the oppesset side of the stater) they dont tell you that @ the dealers. you have to take it to the dealer. they have a computer that matches up your car to the key. you have to have the car and the key at the dealer at the same time.
