I have a 1996 Nissan Maxima SE. I did not drive the car for about 2 months as I had to leave the country and it was outside in the Cold Minnesota winter from December to Feb. I tried to jump start the car but it didn't help so I bought a new battery today and it almost started but in the end, after much effort, it didn't. I'm a college student and don't know much about what the problems could be. Any suggestions, help. Thanks

Yes you can obtain the parts from after market. The Flex Pipe is installed on all cars hows engine is built in transverse. if you accelerate the engine tries to turn against the crankshaft rotation. W/o flex pipe your exhaust will be broken after a couple of minutes. The flex pipe acts like an accordion and eliminates this small "turns".
Its not a clock its just calculates the time it took to make trip. The display at the bottom of the tachometer area is a "TRIP COMPUTER". It shows OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE, DISTANCE TO EMPTY, AVERAGE FUEL COMSUMPTION, AVERAGE SPEED and JOURNEY TIME. Press the "TRIP" button on the steering wheel to change through the modes. Holding the "TRIP" button for more than one second will reset the mode.

I'd start by changing the thermostat. Make sure you let it run for quite a while after, when adding coolant back into system, with heater on (not defrost) at least long enough for rad fan to come on 2 or 3 times, before you put cap back on the rad, to make sure all air is bled out of the system, then top up return bottle.
do not flush the trans, that will make it worse.
My friend you have no second gear, you need trans rebuilt.
If you flush it now you can cause more damage.
