Anti-theft alarm goes off, lights flash, horn blares & the van wont crank over even though battery is good . I unhooked the battery for 10 min the 1st time this happened and everything reset & the van started up again. A day later, same problem except unhooking the battery won't reset the problem. this is a 1998 Ford windstar van. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated

Did you try doing it on all of the doors and the hatch? Especially the P/S sliding door. The rear sensor goes bad and causes the interior light to stay on too. So, since the sensor goes bad the van doesn't arm/disarm properly. You can try taking the sliding door panel off and cutting the wires to the rear sensor and hooking them together. Or try cleaning the contact pins in the front of the sliding door jamb so they make good contact. Did you try doing it on all of the doors and the hatch? Especially the P/S sliding door.
