After I drive my jeep some, if it is somewhat warm or not cold weather, my jeep has a hard time starting. It may crank but run a little ways and cut off going down the road.I have had the coil, plugs, plug wires, and distributer cap replaced.I have also had the fuel injectors cleaned. It does not do this when the weather is very cold. It may run good or cut out very bad or even cut off while driving. If it cuts off, I usually have to wait five or ten minutes before it will crank, otherwise it just winds. After sitting up all night, it cranks and runs fine.It is later that after I cut it off, let it sit for a few, and then try and crank it.That's when it gives me trouble.

If it shuts off after running for a while and will not restart for about 10 min,a bad crank sensor will cause this. abad crank sensor will make car shut off and not restart for about 10 min. put a scanner on to make sure. a check engine light does not allways come on. if you do not have a scanner, any auto parts store will scan it for free.

I have a 1987 ranger 2.3 EFI and sometimes it will not start when it's cold. after it warms up outside it starts. When it does start it runs great. It always starts when warm. some times it will

Timing belt being off one tooth will not cause this problem but rather loss of power and hard starting all the time,

in the cold it will not start, the engine will spin but wont fire is this correct?

There are many things that can cause this, a little testing will be needed, the first thing that comes to mind with the ford and cold weather is the coolant temp sensor, it give computer a false reading and can cause hard starting or even no start, a scan tool would be helpful to see what temp it is give computer.
The best way to narrow this down to to check for spark when it wont start, a weak coil in cold weather will cause this problem or bad coil wire to cap, but if you can see if it has spark and let me know,
another test is to check fuel pressure, to see if it is getting fuel, and the fuelpump relay,

Let me know if it has spark or fuel when is does not start, good day

Engine will not idle and run when starting in cold weather

Have a mechanic take a look at your throttle position sensor and engine idle sensor. Make him manually adjust them as opposed to just putting in new ones. It may require that you have to have a higher idle than normal. Your underlying cause is going to be that I am sure you have a lot of miles on your engine.

93 Grand Cherokee 4.0 trouble starting in cold weather

Welcome to the forum. Your question has to many variables. Cold weather out here in Cen Cal this time of year is mid 40s. Is the problem when the vehicle is cold as in ovrernight but starts ok when it is warm? Does it crank OK but seem like it's not getting fuel? If you hold the throttle slightly open, does it start OK?
