98 ford ranger supercab xlt 2.5 spark plug wiring diagram

I will read the SM service manual to you now.
firing order 1,3,4,2
most cars with old coil packs 4 cylinders is just one pack
not coils but yes 2 coils in 1 pack run 4 cylinders, using wasted spark tech.
oops this old dog run 8 spark plugs now that is different.
and here it is from the book
we do know 1 and 4 fire as one and 3 and 2 first as one pair too.
I sure hope the 2 coils fire, the same way.
no lag. coil 1 spark 1, to coil 2 spark 1. hummmmm
yes tricky see these sage words. from the SM

Dual Plug Inhibit (DPI) is a function of the powertrain control module that is used when the vehicle is being started. During engine cranking, the powertrain control module will only fire the spark plugs on the right-hand side of the engine.Whenthe engine has started, the powertrain control module will start normal twin-plug operation.

3.0l. Where is ignition control module located?

The coil and ignition module are part of same assembly, follow the spark plug wire, spark plug on one end, coil/ignition module on the other end.
I was going to ask, how long since a tune-up? Are there any applicable trouble codes? Are missing anything besides spark? Did you check primary voltage at the ignition module? That is a fused circuit.

1989 ford ranger location of ignition control module

Check for a Thick Film Integrated (TFI) Module attached to the outside of the distrfibutor with about an 8 wire plug on it. That is Ford's ignition module. My recollection is the two screws attaching it to the distributor are odd-ball 7/32 in. size. If the module is taken off, use special ford di-electric grease on the base before re-attaching. For heat dissipation.

Where is the ignition control system located on a 1992 ford ranger?

the ignition module should be bolted to the side of the distributor. It takes a 5.5 millimeter socket or you can get a special tool at any good parts store. they should be able to check the module for you once you get it off.

Where is my Ignition Control Module on 86 Ford Ranger 2.9?

hello grizz_dipper: My name is Roger and I will answer for you. You will find the TFI (module) located on the distributor. Will be held on by two screws. If you are replacing this do to a spark problem I would suggest you replace the stator in the distributor also. The stator can short out the module. Also the module can short out the stator.
Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. This way i know it was helpful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

Where is the ignition module control located on 1996 ranger 2.3 e

It does not have an ignition control module. The PCM (powertrain control module) fires the coil pack based on signal it recieves from the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor.
