The traction control system watches wheel speed thru the wheel speed sensors. it was designed to aid in traction in slippery conditions. when one of the wheels loses traction and the system sees an abnormal insrease of speed in one of the wheels the system will activate and derate the power to avoid wheel slippage. going around a corner the outside wheel will spin faster then the inside wheel. under normal acceleration nothing will happen, however under heay acceleration you may be causing a wheel to break free, especially on wet roads. you could have a speed sensor problem but i would expect you would also have an antilock problem. try a slower acceleration around corners then try a heavy acceleration, if it was ok on normal acceleration but activated on heavy acceleration then your going to have to lighten up on the pedal a bit. otherwise the system should be scanned for codes. i never liked this system much and it wasen,t around too long. good luck!
