U should check the position of your dist I had the same problem with my 95 coupe it has to be in the exact spot to work. Spin it over after u move it a mil from each spot it will turn a little when u get close to narrow it down

Did you hooks the the spark plug wires right. If these are not in the right order then you will have a misfire. If enough of them are out of place then you wont have enough fire to start the engine.

Bought 1995 honda civic> owner said it just stopped 1 day. sat 4 1yr replaced coil n distibuter cap coil was bad just keeps cranking sometimes it sounds like it wants to start. can someone please help?

Check the distributor itself, Hondas have a common problem with distributors going bad. Good idea to also replace the plugs if its been a while.

Wont start after it died one night

The cap should be marked for number 1. The distributor turns clockwise. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.

95 civic wont start

An engine needs 3 things to run: Fuel, compression, ignition.

Maybe the timing belt went out. Take off the dist cap and see if the rotor turns as you crank the engine.

Next run a compression test on all the cylinders.
